BELFAST RESIDENTS' PARKING
Following a consultation exercise in May/ June 2008 proposed residents' parking schemes in the first five areas in Belfast City Centre were rejected by the majority of the residents, mainly due to the cost of a residents permit. It has now been decided to issue residents' and business permits free of charge. As a result of this and other changes to the proposal we are now re-consulting with residents and businesses in the following areas:

It is the intention of Roads Service to only introduce a scheme that has the support of a significant majority of residents/businesses.
